Commodore's last throw — the first 32-bit CD-based console, released in Europe in 1993 and killed within a year by Commodore's bankruptcy, which left a cancelled US launch and a truncated library. Built on Amiga architecture, the CD32 inherited the platform's strong European games heritage, and its catalogue is largely CD versions of Amiga titles plus a handful of exclusives. As a Europe-centric platform that died with its maker, the CD32 is a cult collecting field led by scarce late releases and the unreleased and prototype titles that never shipped — a machine collected for its place as the end of the Commodore story.
