Three-tier spread · log scale

The same game at three prices — Loose, CIB, and Sealed on one ruler. The scale is logarithmic: each gridline step is 10×, so the distance between bars shows the size of the jump between tiers.

Why collectors care

hrono Trigger is a 1995 role-playing video game developed and published by Square for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It is the first installment of the Chrono series. The game's plot follows a group of adventurers who travel through time to prevent a global catastrophe.

Chrono Trigger sits at the intersection of three forces that drive 16-bit collector value: a small print run for a culturally seminal title, documented production variants that reward identification expertise, and a Square Soft pedigree that the secondary market has consistently revalued upward since 2018. Sealed Wata 9.4 A+ examples occupy the same price band as Black Box NES Punch-Out!! and sealed SNES Earthbound — the Super Nintendo's premium prestige bracket. CIB examples remain attainable for serious display collectors at the FINE and VERY GOOD tiers, while the loose tier serves the play market without distorting the premium bands above it.
