astlevania III: Dracula's Curse is a 1989 platform game developed and published by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It was released on December 22, 1989, in Japan, September 19, 1990, in North America and in May 1992 in PAL regions by Konami's Palcom publishing label.
The North American release uses standard NES audio hardware (no VRC6) while the Japanese Famicom release uses the expansion chip — a notable hardware-variance point. CV3 NTSC-U first prints (pre-Player's Choice) are the canonical collector target. Sealed WATA 9.4 A+ trades $2,200–6,500; the Konami-branded 1990 packaging is the structurally scarce variant.
