King's Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest, Leisure Suit Larry.
Founded 1979 by Ken and Roberta Williams. The Quest series defined point-and-click adventure in the 1980s; Roberta Williams was the medium's first auteur designer. Acquired by CUC International 1996; effectively dissolved by 2008. The 80s and early-90s Sierra big-box releases are the cardboard archaeology of the PC genre's origin.
